Stellar Chariot

A Picture of Arun

You’ve reached the blog of Arun Neelakandan (that’s me!) This is a place for me to say stuff. Go to the home page to see a sample.

I’m a Sydney-sider who knows a little bit about making websites. In fact, I work as a web developer at Macquarie University (obligatory note: thoughts are my own; not my employer’s).

What kind of a person am I? What do I like? What makes me tick?

Hard question to answer. But I’ll take a quick stab.

[TODO: Insert video or animated GIF of myself taking a stab from sharp, pointy object.]

I’d like for you to find out what I’m like by interacting with me — instead of me having to tell you some traits I think I have. Nevertheless, here are some facts:

  • I’m in my early twenties
  • Introverted (as in, I ‘recharge’ by being by myself)
  • Born in India then moved to Sydney when I was 9

And here are some things I’m interested in:

  • Web design and development
  • Self-improvement and learning
  • Photography
  • Cars and car design
  • Hip-hop

Okay, this is all getting difficult to write. So I’ll stop here for now.

You can also read my blog or follow me on Twitter to get a better picture of me (figuratively as well as literally — my display picture on Twitter is in higher resolution).

Why the name ‘Stellar Chariot’?

The name ‘Arun’ refers reddish glow in the sky at sunrise. Arun is also the charioteer of the Sun god (Surya) in Hindu mythology. I thought it was an apt title, given my Indian and Hindu upbringing and the fact that a domain name was available!
